Symbolism

August Derleth was written up in the "Milwaukee Journal" Sunday and he says a boy called him to ask about the symbolism in one of his books. He said, "What symbolism? It means just what it says." Boy said, "That's what I think, Mr. Derleth, but I can't convince my teacher." But all depends, I guess.
