Jury trail

(1961 June 19)

Daddy is on a case for Mr. Cradwell. A highway has been altered to cut up his farm in such a way as to do a lot of damage, and the government offered too little recompense. So Daddy goes into the fray. Today he takes the jury out to the farm, and I made him take his rubbers along. Also, with no prompting, I saw a Ring book in his bag.
